The Zenou Clan was an army unit and clan of warriors that were part of the Kan Ki Army. They were the army's strongest heavy attackers along with the Rai Do Clan and Shu Ma Clan.

Background

The Zenou Clan was once a bandit gang that terrorized the northern regions of Qin but they were recruited by Kan Ki at some point and they were absorbed into his army.

Story

Koku You Campaign Arc

They were the vanguard of the Kan Ki Army, alongside the Rai Do Clan and the Hi Shin Unit. However, they were cornered and retreated like chickens as they were chased by Gaku'Ei's soldiers. They later regrouped and overtook the Kei Sha Army's position, which eventually leads to Shin killing Kei Sha.

After the retreat, the Ki Sui Army on the last day of the battle dealt the final and most serious blow to the Zhao forces defending the hill, forcing them to retreat and admit defeat.

Western Zhao Invasion Arc

The Zenou Clan were commanded to defend the besiegers of Gyou.

During the attack of the Ri Boku Army retreating from Shukai Plains, the Zenou Clan and the Rai Do Clan blocked their path and engaged them in battle, easily defeating the Zhao forces.

As the gates opened from within Gyou, the Zenou Clan broke through the crowd of refugees leaving the city and quickly and easily broke through the city's garrison's defensive line.

Battle of Eikyuu Arc

During the Battle of Eikyuu, the Zenou Clan did not actively engage in combat until Ko Chou weakened his HQ' defenses and Kan Ki took advantage of the opportunity to strike at him.

Leading the attack, the Clan easily and instantly broke through all the lines of defense of the HQ and forced Ko Chou to retreat straight to Kan Ki and the Shu Ma Clan, who were waiting for him.

Zhao's Retaliation Arc

During the Battle of Gian, the Clan remained inactive until nightfall, when Kan Ki, surrounded by Zhao on all sides, decided to break through.

The Clan led the vanguard and charged forward, cutting through the Zhao army, cutting down everyone in their path. Even a barrage of arrows couldn't stop them. However, after breaking out of the encirclement, the entire Clan died from their wounds except for the leader of the Zenou Clan himself.

At the Battle of Hika, the sole surviving member of the Zenou Clan, Zenou himself, helped Kan Ki break through and kill Ri Boku. He, too, was showered with arrows and surrounded by numerous Zhao soldiers. After Ba Fuu Ji arrived and dueled him, he knocked him back, breaking his arm. A little while later, a tired and wounded Zenou encountered the Jyou Ka Ryuu, who, after a brief conversation, cut him down. However, Zenou still found the strength, and after Kan Ki's scream, he managed to crush the Jyou Ka Ryuu's head with his own hands, but he still died from his wounds.

• Kei Sha's personal unit is destroyed.

Composition

One of the most bloodthirsty clans out of all the Kan Ki Army's clans, the members of the clan were known to be incredibly violent and unsurpassed in terms of raw physical strength in the Kan Ki Army. They relish battle to such an extent that they almost worship it, gladly charging into hopeless odds simply for the thrill of it. They were also very bloodthirsty and could go berserk with little to no provocation, even attacking their allies if they get too close. Even Kan Ki was mentioned to avoid them if possible. They could also survive with only barely anything to eat, and by retreating like chickens being chased, they can attain fewer casualties.

Physically, they were berserkers who saw warfare as their play time.

They were unique with their faces being grossly scarred, tattooed, and their tongues pierced.
