He had a small beard and a warrior's build along with a serious expression on his face.
Rin Bou was deeply loyal to his lord as he wept upon hearing news of Ou Ki's death.
It is assumed that he has served in Ou Ki's battles in the past and has worked his way past being a 1000-man commander. As the commander of the 3rd army, he was in charge of leading 6,000 troops into battle.
Rin Bou is first seen, prior to the battle, with Ou Ki and the other vassals as his lord surveys the terrain. He is placed in charge of the 3rd army of Qin. At the meeting Mou Bu has with Ou Ki, he mentions his rank and is placed under Mou Bu's command along with the other commanders so they can attack the Zhao headquarters at once. On the fourth day of battle, his army charges at the Zhao headquarters some moments after Mou Bu's own, catching the Zhao by surprise. He runs into Shou Mou, calling him a "pig", before they do battle and all the Qin general could do was defend against Shou Mou's attacks. After their fight, he warns Tou not to allow Shoumou near Ou Ki as his strength "knows no limits".
His army and Dou Kin's were sent to checkmate the Zhao center army, leaving Ou Ki free to attack the Zhao headquarters.
During the start of the Coalition Army Invasion, Rin Bou arrived with Tou and Dou Kin to buy some time for the other generals to re-position their forces.
During the fight against the Coalition Army, Rin Bou was stationed on the right side of the Kankoku pass as part of general Tou's army. During a charge against the army of Chu general Rin Bu Kun, Rin Bu was shot dead by commander Haku Rei's arrow.
He led the 3rd army into battle against the Zhao forces and is rumored to possess capabilities on par with actual generals.
- Rin Bou has insulted every general he has fought, calling one a pig and the other's hairstyle absurd (Shou Mou and Rin Bu Kun).
