Nei is a princess of the now defunct state of Han, the daughter of the its previous King Ou An. She also is a former student in legalism under her uncle Kan Pishi.
Appearance[]
She is a young woman with a sharp, symmetrical face with high cheekbones, a defined jawline, and a narrow, pointed chin. Her eyes are large, almond-shaped, and intense, with thin, dark, and arched eyebrows. Her hair is long, smooth, and pulled tightly back, emphasizing the clean lines of her face, and she wears an elaborate, crown-like headpiece that sits high on her head.
She usually wears royal garnments as her everyday attire, emphasizing her status as a princess amongst Han nobility.
Personality[]
Nei is characterized by her sense of devotion towards the people of Han. Unlike most people of nobility status throughout China, she clearly treats the common people without disdain and arrogance.
She is very patriotic, always putting what would be the best for Han above all else. However, if its people are in grave danger, she will try to do what is best in the interests of the people, and not the state itself, which is something that comes in contradiction in this harsh and tumultuous Warring States era.
Nei is also very courageous and brave, putting her life on the line if she thinks that it might save her people and country, such as going to the battlefield in order to negotiate with the enemy. She is also very vocal about her opinions, having no qualms in debating ferociously with other officials and noblemen in the royal court is she disagrees with them. As another way of demonstrating her love for the commoners, Nei always coming into heated debates with various members of the court if their plans and propositions do not take into account the wellbeing of the populations living inside Han.

When Kan Pishi leaves for Qin, she asks Kai Oku and Tou to take care of him, as he is not a man of strong body man. We learn that Confucianism runs deeper in Han than in the other kingdoms, which is why the legalists find themselves isolated, and with the departure of her master, she'll be even more so.
When Tou asks her if Kan Pishi have another side than a legalist, she doesn't seem to understand the implication, so she didn't know he was in charge of espionage for Han.
