History[]
Muta was from a tribe called the Bessa Tribe that is located in the south of what was once the Yue kingdom, along the southeastern coast of Chu. His tribe is especially known for their deadly poison that can kill with even just a scratch from the dart. When Qin attacked the Chu, Muta's army helped with the battle. After Qin saw his power, they brought him back to their kingdom.

When he was about to shoot a poison dart at Ei Sei, he was foiled by Shou Bun Kun. Everyone thought he was killed by the blow, but Ten found out later that he was still alive but about to die. In return for not telling the others he was alive, Muta gave Ten some sleeping darts, his dart gun, and advice to leave Ei Sei immediately.

Muta's strengths are his monstrous physical strength and almost inhuman sense of smell, which he used to track the boys. He had strips of cloth hanging around his neck that he used to create a small tornado as a distraction before attacking his opponent. Along with his deadly poison, he used two axes as his weapons.
Trivia[]
- Muta apparently did not get along with Jo Kan at all despite them both being assassins for Sei Kyou. The latter did not respect Muta's poison or power calling him cowardly, which is why Muta chooses to fight Shin with his axes rather than his darts.
- In Anime, he was called Vietnamese.
- Due the fact that his stats have changed in Guidebook 3 confirms that he is still alive but he has not yet officially reappeared in the manga.
