The Kyou Kai Army, previously known as Kyou Kai Unit, is a Qin Military specialist army personally commanded by Qin General Kyou Kai, the Second Lieutenant of the Hi Shin Unit that reports to Qin General Ri Shin. They consist of soldiers between the main army and the Hi Shin Unit but the army was originally a 1000-Man Unit mostly made up of experienced soldiers from a variety of backgrounds in the years following Kyou Kai's return to the Hi Shin Unit and Coalition Invasion.

Story

Conspiracy in the Court Arc

The unit's first appearance was during the Battle of Tonryuu when Ka Ryo Ten told Heki that Kyou Kai rose up to a 1000-Man Commander herself in the span of two years after her return the Hi Shin Unit. But it wasn't clear which units belonged to her alone and which belonged to Shin. They seem to change the responsibilities according to the situation.

Fire Dragons of Wei Arc

The unit fought most of the time alongside the Hi Shin Unit. But on the last day, they were the ones that broke through and raided the Wei HQ of Great General Go Hou Mei, signaling the victory of the Qin.

Koku You Campaign Arc

The unit fought most of the time along with the Hi Shin Unit because Kyou Kai was wounded when she tried to assassinate an enemy commander and was not able to fight with them. But when the Hi Shin unit chased general Kei Sha, Kyou Kai returned and ordered her soldiers to remain at her side and stop the soldiers of Ryuu Tou and buy Shin some time to kill Kei Sha. Kyou Kai then dueled against Ryuu Tou and stabbed him through the chest, killing but not promising him that she will protect the innocents of Rigan.

But the remnants of Kei Sha's elite bodyguards still had the better position against the retreating Hi Shin soldiers, weaken from her and opening wounds Kyou Kai was saved by Shin who had managed to slay Kei Sha, the Supreme Commander of the Zhao Armies'. The two units retreated together in a fast retreat back behind to their own lines. After this, they fought again together with the main unit.

Battle of Kokuyou Hills	Kyou Kai attempts an assassination against Zhao General Ryuu Tou of Rigan, she fails but succeeds in injuring him, giving an opportunity to the Hi Shin Unit in their efforts. Upon her return, she and her unit stall the Ryuu Tou Army’s soldiers.	Kyou Kai gives Shin time to slay the Zhao's Commander-in-Chief Kei Sha and Slays Ryuu Tou, the Left Hand-man of Ki Sui.
Battle at Shukai Plains	Kyou Kai, Shin, and Ka Ryo Ten assist the Gaku Ka Unit in preserving half the strength of the Ma Kou Army foiling Ri Boku's efforts for the Qin's Left Wing. Kyou Kai and Shin assist Ou Hon and the Gyoku Hou in facing the Gyou'un Army's Rai'un Unit saving their adjutant, Ban You's life. Later, Kyou Kai manages to burn away a great portion of Gyou'un Army's strength.	Kyou Kai is promoted to the rank of a 5000-Man Commander.
