—Kotsu Min Haku reading Ri Boku's letter conscripting him into service | ||
Kotsu Min Haku, or Earl Kotsu Min is a General in the Zhao Military and the leader of the Kotsu Min Haku Army. He is originally from Ganmon where he served alongside Ba Nan Ji, his son Ba Fuu Ji, and Kaine under Ri Boku as they fought against the Northern Horsemen Tribes that constantly invaded the territory before becoming a vassal of his beloved leader.
Appearance[]
Kotsu Min Haku is a middle-aged man with dark, well-styled hair. He wears standard officer armor and a light-colored cloak. He has a small dark beard and mustache.
Personality[]
Kotsu Min Haku has a serious personality, but is also very emotional. He dislikes having his tears or weaknesses revealed to others.
In battle, he is self-assured and brazen, as when he compared Yo Tan Wa's soldiers to mountain monkeys, associating them with barbarians.
History[]
Not much is known about the General's past, but he spent a long time in Ganmon, becoming its General. Along with Ba Nan Ji and Shun Sui Ju, he had combat experience with the Northern Horsemen Tribes and compared them to the Yo Tan Wa Army. It was likely he who replaced Ri Boku on the northern border after the defeat of the 100,000-strong Xiongnu army and defended it until he was called to fight against the Qin.
Story[]
Zhao's Retaliation Arc[]
Kotsu Min Haku was one of many generals summoned to Gian to discuss and plan a strategy against the invading Qin army led by Kan Ki. At the general march, he scolded Ba Fuu Ji for telling about his tears when he received the letter from Ri Boku, making it clear that he did not want this secret to come to light.
He and his army took part in the Battle of Gian but did not engage in active combat. After Hi Shin Unit and Gaku Ka Army's breakthrough, his army pursued them, driving them further and further away from the battlefield.
Nature Of Humanity Arc[]
After defeat of Kan Ki Army, Kotsu Min Haku, like all the other generals of the Zhao army, went to the city of Bu'an, where civilians greeted the Zhao army as heroes. During the victorious march, Ba Fuu Ji teased him again, saying that he must be feeling something, hinting at the laurels of victory, even though he had done virtually nothing during the battle.
Hango Campaign Arc[]
Kotsu Min Haku and his army took part in the Battle of Hango, occupying the right flank of the Zhao army and, together with the Shun Sui Ju and Ba Nan Ji, opposing the Yo Tan Wa Army.
In the first minutes of the clash, he looked down on the Qin army and ordered them to be rained down with arrows, but after this failed to deter the mountaineers, he became quite agitated. Upon receiving news of the enemy, represented by the Mera Tribe, approaching from the flank, he ordered the army to reform, but seeing that the Tribe had no intention of attacking, he ordered them intercepted and detained. His army failed to stop the Tribe, but managed to delay their reinforcements in the person of General Koku Shuu Ba.
TBA Arc[]
Kotsu Min Haku, like many other Zhao commanders and soldiers, was in Bu'an. There, he and the other soldiers greeted the shy Kaine after Ri Boku proposed marriage. He and the other soldiers congratulated her.
In 229 B.C, he is summoned to the capital city Kantan, in anticipation of Qin's invasion and all-out war with Zhao.[1]
During the invasion, he and his army are positioned alongside the Ba Fuu Ji Army at the Fuugen plains to take on the invading Gaku Ka Army.[2]
Abilities[]
Kotsu Min Haku proves to be a capable commander.
Leadership[]
Kotsu Min Haku proves to be a capable leader and is able to lead his men effectively on battlefields.
Tactical Abilities[]
Kotsu Min Haku shows to have a considerable tactical ability as his warfare tends to be more offense oriented. After Meera Tribe separated from the main forces to siege the city of Hango he acted accordingly by sending a detachment to intercept them.
