The Keiyou Campaign is a Qin military campaign against Wei to capture the city of Keiyou lead by Great General Duke Hyou. Wei's forces were lead by Great General Go Kei.


Background[]

The city of Keiyou is called "The Entrance to Wei" as it is the primary defence line of Wei protecting them from Qin inversion.

Wei gathered 3 armies behind Keiyou lead to Qin raising 6 armies in preparation of large scale war breaking out at the border.

Goal[]

The goal of Qin is capturing Keiyou.

Wei's goal is defeating any invading army.

Story[]

Wei attack[]

Qin started moving the 6 newly raised armies to the four frontline gathering points. The Wei general Go Kei anticipating the movement of Qin attacks Gan castle, the gathering point of the 4th army. In the siege Qin general Koku Gou is slain, the castle is razed and all inhabitants are killed.

The 4th army following the attack changes their march destination to Asui to support the 1st and 2nd army. At Asui Duke Hyou already prepared to engage the Wei army, which retreated back to Keiyou to reinforce and prepare to meet the Qin Army in open battle. Duke Hyou directly marches with his 2 already assembled armies to the Dakan Plains to secure the strategically important hills but the Wei Army already arrived and secured the hills. The 4th army following them arrived on the 2nd day of the battle. The 3,5 and 6 army are too marching in direction of the Dakan Plains, but are to far away to arrive in time of the battle.

Battle at Dakan Plains[]

At the Plains the Wei Army has been divided in 3 armies each holding one hill.

The Qin 4th Army is on arrival tasked with capturing the 1st hill which is defended by General Kyuu Gen and his Army. Baku Koshin, a commander of the 4th Army, slays the general and with support of general Ou Ki, who was watching the battle, the 4th army secured the hill.

Following the loss of the hill both Go Kei and Duke Hyou decided to engage each others main army in a charge. During the charge Duke Hyou slays Go Kei in a duel. Wei General Haku Ki Sai decides to retreat with the remaining Wei soldiers to Keiyou after talking with Ou Ki. Duke Hyou knowing that his Army is weakened and demoralised following the battle decides to withdraw back to Asui.

Aftermath[]

The Keiyou Campaign ends in a draw with neither state losing or gaining territory.

Both Qin's and Wei's military was weakened through the loss of generals in the campaign.
