Earl Rai is a General of the Zhao Military and deputy in the Ri Boku Army during the Battle at Shukai Plains.
Appearance[]
Earl Rai is an elderly man with a mustache, wearing full armor, helmet and a cape. His helmet has a unique feature in which his helm resembles that of Early-medieval period of Europe.

Earl Rai is a stoic man that takes his duties seriously.

It was mentioned that in the past his army spend years having Ri Boku's tactics beaten into them.
Story[]
Western Zhao Invasion Arc[]
During the Battle at Shukai Plains he is positioned in the center. On the last day of battle, he and Earl Kou are matched against Ou Sen's center. At first, they are able to push back the forces of Den Ri Mi and Sou'Ou, however when Ou Sen figures out the secret behind their formation the tables are turned, and they are the ones that found themselves in difficult situation. Earl Rai however survives the battle.

As a seasoned warrior and a deputy of Ri Boku, Earl Rai is a talented and experienced commander. He is capable of using both strategical and instinctual warfare after training under Ri Boku himself.

Earl Rai is capable of personally fighting with a podao in his hand when he is in the frontline.[1]

Earl Rai processes a considerable amount of military knowledge as it was mentioned that in the past his army spends years having Ri Boku's tactics beaten into them.[2]
Origin Tactics: Trained by Ri Boku, Earl Rai is capable to use origin tactics to find the "origin" of the workings of armies on the battlefield in order to read the flow of battle and instantly react to any changes on the battlefield.
Military Formations: Earl Rai is capable to perform military formations. He was able to utilize the Great Crane Formation to create an attack that uses an enemy's tactical maneuvers against them and pushes into their ranks. It was also mentioned that his army can use all the things Earl Kou can, which indicates of him also being able to use Halting Point Formation.[3]
