Buying Time is the 90th chapter of the Kingdom manga.

Summary

Shin and everyone are now trapped and attacked by a large group of 13 assassins. En Tei is preparing to attack these thirteen assassins as they killed his brothers in arms. Both leaders of the assassins clans are clashing together.

While they are fighting, Shin and Kyou Kai are trying to recover their strength as they will have to deal with the surviving assassins. Shin lost much blood and is unable to fight at full strength anymore. Shin asks Kyou Kai to join forces and continue their duel later, however Kyou Kai refuses.

The leader of the assassins calls for a Black Crane Formation of ten people to deal with Shin and his party. Shin is brainstorming on what to do as he has no strength left to face them all. Kyou Kai then tells him he has a plan. He wants Shin to face them alone and hold them of for 30 seconds. Shin states he will give him 60 seconds. Shin walks over to the assassins and steps in their striking distance.

However they don't view Shin as a treat anymore and thereby don't even bother to draw their swords. Shin is angered by this and tries to kill him, however the assassin uses his fist and hits him in his wounds. Shin then deliberately steps in their formation trap and starts swinging his sword. one of the assassins cuts Shin in the back and Shin falls down as the result.

Suddenly Shin starts laughing. He tells them they are the ones who are stupid as everything went according to Kyou Kai plan. Kyou Kai then steps up and he states that he has enough for one round. Kyou Kai then draws his sword and starts dancing around and the heads of the assassins are flying.
