Flashback of the events in Chapter 803:[]
Ri Shin and Kyou Kai are in Tou's base camp. As Qin wants to preserve most of its soldiers while conquering Han, Kyou Kai reveals her strategy is to not fight. The generals and Ka Ryo Ten are shocked but Tou answers that he was thinking the same.
Han's perspective:[]
We are now in Shintei, the capital city of Han. Han officials receive reports about the Qin Army. They're only at Mei Plains and are heading to Nanyou. In Nanyou, General Haku’ou Koku waits for Qin army to arrive on top of the castle walls.
For Raku'A Kan, Han doesn't have enough military power to totally stop the Qin army, and they should not waste manpower to defend insignificant castles. Nei protests but Chou agrees. As Nei continues to contest, King Ou An explains her Han only survived by doing this sort of thing. The officials receive another report. Another army appeared behind the 60,000 soldiers led by General Ri Shin: 100,000 men led by one of Six Great Generals of Qin, Tou, meaning Qin has a force of 160,000 to attack Nanyou. Han officials are scared that Haku’ou Koku won't be able to stop an army this big. Yoko Yoko proposes to send reinforcements to Nanyou, pointing that the reason for their delay is that their forces are not trained enough. The chancellor Chou contests, saying they shouldn't rush the decision. If they want to save Nanyou, they have to send at least 100,000 soldiers from Shintei, meaning not enough soldiers will remain in the city to fight if Qin wins the battle. The battle will therefore decide the fate of Han.
For Chou, Han has three options:
- Give Raku'A Kan the commandment of Shintei's army and face Tou Army in Nanyou
- Wait for the result of Nanyou's battle without sending any reinforcements
- Order Nanyou's forces to retreat immediately
Raku'A Kan suggests to only set off 50,000 men from Shintei and gather 50,000 others from castles in the way. Chou disagrees, saying they risk losing their first General. As they're discussing, a third messenger arrives: Another force of 100,000 soldiers appeared behind Tou Army, making it a force of 260,000.
