Chapter 714 (Official Introduction)

Ba Fuu Ji is a 5000-Man Commander of the Zhao Military and a commander in the Ri Boku Army, having served under Ri Boku since the Great Heaven's years in Ganmon fighting against the Northern Horsemen Tribes in the far north of Zhao.

He is also the son of Zhao General Ba Nan Ji, the infamous Demon of Ganmon.

Ba Fuu Ji first appeared at the end of Battle of Eikyuu Arc, after the death of Great General Ko Chou and Ri Boku’s reinstatement back to the role of Commander-in-Chief for the Zhao Military and was formally introduced in the Zhao's Retaliation Arc.

Appearance[]

Ba Fuu Ji is a young-looking man with a relatively short ponytail in compression to his father's long braids and a lock of hair falling across his forehead but has stretched eyelashes with short but thick eyebrows that he inherited from his father.

He wears decorated military armor that in the same fashion as his father's and wears a fur coat around his neck.

Personality[]

Ba Fuu Ji appears to be an upright man, unlike his father, he lacks a hot-blooded approach but carries a passionate disposition as he defended his lord, Ri Boku from the Kan Ki Army's fierce attacks without hesitation showing a powerful determination.

History[]

Ba Fuu Ji was born and raised in the north of Zhao. It's implied at some point in his life he was fighting against Xiongnu alongside his father and eventually rose to the rank of 5000-Man Commander.

Story[]

Battle of Eikyuu Arc[]

Ba Fuu Ji is seen accompanying Ri Boku, his father, and the rest of the Ri Boku Army as they leave Seika to retake his post as commander-in-chief of Zhao's army.

Zhao's Retaliation Arc[]

Ba Fuu Ji is seen along with other Zhao officers in the war council right before the start of Battle of Gian. Soon after, he joins his father and wishes him good luck before heading for battle. After some talk with other Zhao generals and commander, he leaves for the front. The next time Ba Fuu Ji is seen is during the ambush set by the Kan Ki Army in order to kill Ri Boku. There, along with Fu Tei, he saves his lord's life while killing some of Kan Ki's soldiers. After Fu Tei and Rin Gyoku's clash, he strikes Rin Gyoku with a powerful strike from his sword and casuse the Qin general to drop one of his blades before he could deliver a killing blow, he is shot at by Koku'Ou but blocks the arrow with his arm with the arrow piercing through it. Right after that, he is attacked by Rin Gyoku, but he is able to block the attack and gets pushed away. Then, he puts his horse back in place, with his injured arm, surprising Koku'Ou. She then yells at Rin Gyoku that Ba Fuu Ji couldn't be left alive.

Then, he calmly removes the arrows from his forearm and starts reassuring the troops by saying that the Ganmon soldiers who are present here will fight tooth and nail to protect Ri Boku and that more troops are coming to save them. He then says that he'll fight Zenou. Soon after Riboku gets hit by Kanki, Ba Fuu Ji orders his soldiers to go save Ri Boku. He then goes to fight Zenou, and injures him, but gets violently hit by Zenou, wich sends him on the ground and wounds his left arm. But, far from being discouraged, he simply says that it will make his job as shielding Ri Boku easier and remobilize the soldiers and Ganmon all around his lord. He then starts killing bandit soldiers one after another and delivers a speech about the strength that comes from the heart while slicing Kan Ki soldiers until the arrival of Jyou Ka Ryuu's and Ko Haku Kou's reinforcements.

After the saving, he gets back on a horse, and stands at Ri Boku's sides. During his lord's last discussion with Kanki, he senses that something is wrong, and tries to avert Ri Boku, by saying that they should put an end to the talk that lasted long enough. After Kanki's death, he spots Na Ki advancing to Ri Boku, and signals it, allowing soldiers to kill the already wounded Na Ki. When Ko Haku's soldiers were angry not to be allowed to rip off Kanki's body, he steps forward, warning them without a word not to do anything funny.

Hango Campaign Arc[]

Ba Fuu Ji participates in the Battle of Hango and is placed on Zhao's right wing against Yo Tan Wa Army.

Three Pillars Arc[]

Ba Fuu Ji is present during the strategical meeting inside Bu'An Castle when they receive message from Ri Boku to continue to train their troops and be ready in case they need to send their forces to aid Han.[1]

Abilities[]

Ba Fuu Ji proves to be a capable military commander.

Physical Abilities[]

Master Swordsman: Ba Fuu Ji is very capable with a sword. He was able to easily overcome Rin Gyoku, an expert warrior himself, with a single strike. And then land a cut on Zenou's arm. He was also able to kill many Kan Ki soldiers with ease, even with a broken arm.

Immense Endurance: Ba Fuu Ji displays an incredible resilience and endurance. He was severely wounded again and again as he fended off numerous opponents. He was first shot in the arm by Koku'Ou's arrow as he ignored the injury and was then struck by Rin Gyoku, then hit directly by Zenou's mace with an incredibly strong blow and was still standing with a smile. Then, he shielded Ri Boku by confronting the Kan Ki soldiers while being stabbed multiple times, but still fought and smiled as nothing happened, showing his great endurance and resilience.

Leadership[]

Ba Fuu Ji is an impressive leader capable of empowering his soldiers to even give up their lives. This was first shown during the Kan Ki Army's ambush, where he delivered speeches to the soldiers of Ganmon and raised their spirits tremendously, exacerbating their will to protect the savior of Ganmou, Ri Boku.
